Bernard Ndichu

Bernard, 33, grew up in the central highlands of Kenya amongst inspiring landscapes and endless greenery.  From his mothers beautiful narratives to observing his father carefully prepare art lessons for his students, art has always been part of Bernard’s life

Bernard works with a variety of materials to recreate everyday scenes and experiences, mainly working with acrylics, oils and water colours. The red acrylic paint on some of these paintings is literally “globbed” on, allowing for a true three-dimensional appearance. He also experiments with recycled materials in plastic and aluminium to create decorative sculptures.

His works have been exhibited in Kenya and North America.

In his own words: “Our earliest childhood memories are carried with us and shape our life journeys”

We are proud to display a sample of Bernard’s work in our collection.
